1. Do you have the guts to answer these questions and re-post as The Controversial Survey?
I don’t think it takes guts to give your opinion on something…It does make it harder for me to play devil’s advocate.

2. Would you do meth if it was legal?
No, I also don’t smoke which is legal so I’m not sure the point of this question.

3. Abortion: for or against it?
I have no basis for opinion on this other than not past the second trimester. There is no medical reason for an abortion at that point and you’ve already had 6 months to think about it. If you wait that long go ahead and have the baby adopted. Before the third trimester there are plenty of legitimate reasons to abort a child so have at. People who do it as a form of birth control sicken me but I won’t deny them the ability.

4. Do you think the world would fail with a female president?
The thought that the world will fail over any single country’s hood ornament is kind of silly irregardless of race, gender, religion, sexual preference of favorite pizza topping.

5. Do you believe in the death penalty?
Yes, with the provision that you can prove with 100% certainty that the person was guilty of the crime AND the execution be made public. the point of executions is to deter criminals and if they don’t see it people tend to not believe in it.

6. Do you wish marijuana would be legalized already?
America has a substance abuse problem. We don’t know how to handle our legal drugs much less the ones that are currently illegal. legalizing it won’t decrease its appeal to people and will just add another vise for people. Most people argue that it should be legal and heavily legislated, but the next drug will be LSD, then heroine, then cocaine, where is the line and why? I believe until we can prove that we are responsible with even alcohol, which we aren’t and likely never will be, we shouldn’t add another item for us to abuse.

7. Are you for or against premarital sex?
Marriage is a moral contract between two people. It’s not my place to say what is right for an individual.

8. Do you believe in God?
I believe in many things but I don’t claim to know any of them well enough to place a name on it.

9. Do you think same sex marriage should be legalized?
No. I think Marriage should be deregluated by the government and returned solely to the churches’ control. Give everyone civil union contracts and let them stop bitching.

10. Do you think it’s wrong that so many Hispanics are illegally moving to the USA?
The key word here is illegally. And yes. Why wouldn’t I think someone doing something ILLEGAL woudln’t be wrong? Do I think we should loosen the restrictions for imigration? I’m willing to discuss that but someone entering the country without following the laws to BEGIN with does not set a very strong precedent for them maintaining the moral aptitude to hold our other laws on high. I sight the growing crime rates in areas where illegal immigrants live as backing up this theory.

11. A twelve year old girl has a baby, should she keep it?
It’s a decision for the girl and the parents.

12. Should the alcohol age be lowered to eighteen?
No, I think it should be raised to the age of 25. See the response on marijuana for the reasoning.

13. Should the war in Iraq be called off?
No, regardless of whether we should be there or not, I don’t think leaving a country in shambles with no functional government or economy is a good idea.

14. Assisted suicide is illegal: do you agree?
I’m not really sure if it is illegal or not to be honest. I don’t think it should be but the person better cover their butts real well if they did help. It’s too easy to envision people murdering others under the guise of assisted suicide.

15. Do you believe in spanking your children?
Yes. I was spanked and I feel like I have a better set of boundaries of right and wrong because of that association.

16. Would you burn an American flag for a million dollars?
If purely for the money? Probably not. I have a great deal of respect for the flag and do feel it should be burned when it has been desecrated. I have no problem with people burning the flag in order to express themselves but I don’t see it as something I would do personally.

17. Who do you think would make a better president? McCain or Obama?
The difference between the two is in semantics only. In the end neither is fit to lead the country so I’m not supporting either of them. The lesser of two evils is STILL evil and it’s assinine to feel I should have to put my lot in with either one.

18. Are you afraid others will judge you from reading some of your answers?
Most of my friends know that I’m not concerned about how most of them judge me. The few who’s opinions matter to me more than likely already know my opinions. :p
